An incident happened to me just last week (been a while, more than a year since someone tried to scam me)
I farmed me up 250 destroyer cores and was selling them for 100k+2ectos.
A guy told me that he is interested in them so I went to him and opened the trade window and he only put in the 2 ectos and not the 100k.

When I called him on it he just closed the window and ran away.

I LOLed at him and told him nice try, I got a screenshot of it so I can lol at it again a couple years form now.

probably the scam where they get you to drop your stuff in that rock in the desert and they activate a cut scene and run for it. basically because i knew what he was doing i just messed around with him. fun`

Lol I've just met guys trying to:

shadow step scam,
gold instead of plats scam.

The only "funny" one was when I was buying ectoes for my fow and he offered me 10 Mursaat Tokens, that was when there was not displayed yet the name of the items...I was nearly accepting zomg xD Lucky I noticed before

Nobody has never managed to scam me anyway

Lol and the nice thing is to put them on ignore and keep talking to them with a lot of "sarcasm" and they can't even answer xD The funny part is that they are too stupid to even put me on ignore...LMAO

Edit: now I get why most people leave party when I ask them to show out the skin... meh that sucks :l

I saw a guy in Ascalon yesterday spamming all chat with the following:

Scammer: Hey everyone! I just found a neat trick!!
Scammer: Type in your account name and password in local chat and it will display as asterisks!!"
Scammer: ******** **********
Scammer: See, I just did it. Cool huh? Everyone try it now!!

Unfortunately one noob fell for it. I hope he put in a fake account name just to fool with the scammer.

the first time I got scammed was at droks.... I was selling my first black dye ever. it was the time when ANet had JUST changed the trade window to show the platinums and gold seperately. so first of he ofered 10k thats what I came up with so he offered the 10k and then closed the trade window and gave me another offer of 10g instead of 10k.... I still HATE that update and still the scammers almost get me.

I zoned into L.A. one day and notice someone spamming-"can double you money, up to 50k, no scam." or something like that. So I figured I would see what he/she was talking about. I pm'ed. They said grab some gold up to 50 k and come out into zone with me. I said ok I was ready. We went out and he said come over here and die. I did as he instructed. He rez'ed up with Unyeilding Aura. Then told me stand over here and drop my money on the ground. I refused. Lol, I even said riiight, as soon as I drop it you gonna let me die pick up my money and I'll never see you again. He began to berate me and left. LOL

The lowest scam I have seen is this one time I was in Ratasum and saw a guy spamming "WTS black dye for 2K!" over and over

I check the merchant, black dye is still at about 7K each, thinking that this is a too good a deal to pass up, I rushed to the guy and say "I will buy I will buy!!"

He opened the trade window and guess what? He put a gray dye (um...100g worth?) in the trade window. Immediately I knew this guy was going for a scam so I lost my temper and start dropping F bombs on this guy...lol.

I still had the screen shots but don't know if it will be against the forum policy to post it.

I canceled the trade window. I am glad that I moved my mouse over the item to verify it, because a gray dye and black dye does look alike.

scammer: what is wrong?
Me:F**king scammer. Get the F**k away from me.
Scammer:what? what did I do?
Me:It is a F**king gray dye, dude. Nice try buddy.
Scammer:Oh, I don't know. Someone just sold me this dye so I assume it is a black dye.
Me:Yeah, whatever. You just been reported for scamming. Expect a ban comming up shortly.
Scammer:did you just report me?
Me:Yeah I did. gg.
Scammer logs off in few seconds, lol.

Of course I didn't bother to report the guy, after I heard that Anet takes forever to investigate things like this. But surely I had my fun scaring that scammer sh*tinng in his pants.

Actually I once bought a black dye for 2k when they were worth 10k each... lawl xD

the best scam was at my first few seconds in gw. I dropped as VERY FIRST ITEM a black dye. Ofc I didn't know how much it was worth (in pre-searing...) and I used it on starter armor, and the armor did not even dye!!! that pissed me off when I noticed they were like 15k each xD

Maybe he had moved out of range? Recall will end if the allly u cast it on is out of selection range...dunno, trying to find the loophole so he doesn't have egg ALL over his face, because you're right. CoP will NOT end recall. Recall is a maintained enchant of the CASTER not the target

Uhm I remember that when I was playing with a friend of mine he kept using on me a sin skill and I managed to remove it and force him to shadow step to me...could be a skill update? I clearly remember that I could do something like that.

Recall did use to appear on the person it was casted on. It was changed in a skill update. So at one point CoP would have removed it.

everyone remember the guild cow. Yeah well the main guy was doing guild invites 2K so i was like scam.. but ... i could not resist wasted the 2 k saw what he was doing.. capped everyones pic in alliance and what not and then i got booted but then i contacted every person to let them know this asshat was scamming .. yeah i heard he is guildless now
